Privacy Policy
Inman Law, PLLC (“the firm”, “firm”, “us” or “we”) is committed to protecting your privacy. We are a law firm that operates a website (inmanlawpllc.com). This privacy policy explains how we collect, store, process, transfer, share, and use data that identifies or is associated with you (“personal information”) and information regarding cookies and similar technologies.
We collect your personal information in the following ways:
-
Submitting forms to us through our website
-
Submitting forms to us through other platforms
-
Through the use of cookies and similar technologies (collectively “cookies”)
-
A combination of two or more of the above ways
How we use your personal information
We have two ways that we use your personal information. The main wat is for us to contact you about establishing an attorney-client relationship and provide you with legal services. However, simply submitting a form to us does not establish an attorney-client relationship between you and the firm. Do NOT submit information through a form on our website that you would not want an opposing party in litigation to have. If you are involved in litigation or potential litigation, we may already represent the opposing party. We use the information that you provide on our forms to check whether we have a conflict of interest in your matter. After we have ensured that no conflict of interest exists, we will request additional information from you or schedule a consultation to discuss your matter more fully.
The other way that we use your information is to market our legal services to you. This marketing could take the form of an email newsletter, direct mail campaign or other method. We may engage a third party to assist us in these marketing activities. But we do not and will not sell your personal information to third parties.
Additionally, we comply with the Rules of Professional Conduct relevant to the jurisdictions in which we practice law. This means that we do not do anything with your personal information that is inconsistent with those ethical duties such as the duty of confidentiality and protecting attorney-client communications.
How we process, store, transfer and use your personal information
Inman Law, PLLC is a law firm and not a technology company. We rely on the services of trusted partners to market our firm and help provide convenient legal services to our clients and potential clients. Our website was created using the Wix.com Ltd. platform (“Wix”) located at wix.com and continues to run on that platform. To learn how Wix collects, stores and uses your information, you should read their privacy policy located here: https://www.wix.com/about/privacy. We use Themis Solutions Inc. located at Clio.com (“Clio”) to obtain information from forms submitted through our website and elsewhere, to run our client relationship management system and our case management system. You should consult their privacy policy for answers to questions about how they collect, store and use your data: https://www.clio.com/privacy/.
We (through our trusted partners) collect certain information from users of our website using cookies. We use this information to continue marketing ourselves to you after you leave our website, a practice known as retargeting. Retargeting is simply using the fact that you have previously visited our website to serve you ads reminding you of our services. We may use Wix, Facebook, and Google, and similar services to help us in this marketing effort.
Facebook’s use of information obtained by the Facebook Pixel is governed by Facebook’s privacy policy which is available here: https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy. Google’s use of information obtained by Google’s Smart Pixel is governed by Google’s privacy policy which is available here: https://policies.google.com/technologies/cookies?hl=en-US.
TL;DR Version
We use your information to market our services to you, provide those services, and monitor our marketing performance. But because we rely on other companies to do the bulk of this work aside from providing legal services, their privacy policies are just as, if not more important to how your personal information is collected, stored, processed, transferred, shared, and used.
